Gun stick

Wood, iron, horn, rope, Liège, 19th century.

This numbered gun stick is signed by Auguste Romedenne. This is a rare, patented weapon that is among the first gun sticks of the 19th century.

This weapon can fire a single bullet and is designed for poachers and walkers who have the opportunity to bag small game from their strolls.

The barrel is hallmarked by the Liège test bench (E.L.G.) for black powder (used from 1846 to 1893).
